About Eversleigh

Financial arrangements

We welcome residents who are funded by Social Services, the NHS and those who are privately financed. Costs depend on the particular accommodation you choose. Written contracts are discussed with each resident and their family which detail the range of services and personalised care to be provided. We are experienced in dealing with advocates and legal professionals acting on behalf of residents. Residents are encouraged to be independent and to manage their own finances if they can, often with the help of their families. We can advise and assist in handling small sums of money for additional services such as hairdressing. We are happy to provide or organise additional services which are requested by the resident or their family, and these are charged at cost. An optician, dentist, physiotherapist, chiropodist, and hairdresser visit Eversleigh regularly.

“In my numerous mostly unannounced visits over the eight years I always found the staff well-organised, kind to my mother and helpful to me.”

Supervision

Staff are regularly supervised on duty and we provide good staffing levels to ensure our high standards of care are maintained. Each member of staff has a regular formal meeting with a manager to review their performance and to consider any ideas they have. All staff receive an annual appraisal with the Home Manager. The home has been accredited with Investors in People status which is a national standard measuring the quality of supervision and management of staff. The Investors in People accreditation is reviewed every three years to ensure the home is compliant with the IIP Standard.

Training

We provide regular training to maintain and improve standards, and to ensure staff skills and knowledge are kept up-to-date. New staff complete a comprehensive induction course. The majority of the training is delivered by our Training Manager and external training is provided where needed. The nurses attend regular clinical updates.
