We believe it is important for every resident to be offered a choice of activities to suit their wishes and abilities. These help to keep residents mobile and alert, and encourage them to take an interest in the people and the things happening around them.

Residents are encouraged to join in with activities although as a former resident said ‘This is a rest Home and I intend to rest’. The choice is naturally up to each individual.

Because it’s important, we employ a full-time Social Activities Coordinator who ensures that a range of activities are organised either on a one-to-one basis or as a group to encourage each resident to join in.

Theatre and other cultural outings, games, discussions, music, hobbies, reading, quizzes, and reminiscing are just a few of the activities on offer.

All major events throughout the year such as Christmas, Easter, and VE Day are celebrated with parties and in other ways.
